(This idea is something we’ve heard from customers over time from several of our sources of feedback. We’re posting it here to gauge how well this fits our users’ needs. So please let us know what you think.)

When using the Fill tool, it takes too many clicks to choose a color with the eye dropper. It would be great to have the eye dropper available as a button immediately when I switch to the Fill Tool. I don't want to have to first open the color picker.

Eyedropper from Fill - I use it very much
Eyedropper - It would be great if it was outside. - not in Fill color picker.

A shortcut in the toolbar helps me a lot or at least near color picker - Or in both places.

[ CTRL + Click ] is good but is not for my.

I do not really use the keyboard, I use more/just only the mouse.
And there are many like me.

When I use the fill tool.

I usually select the color from the image. The Eye Dropper is the first part of that process.
Plus, the current color selected , is wrong about 99.9% of the time.

I could have used the available keyboard shortcut in the example below.  But it wouldn't have been much of a demonstration without the Fill tool being selected.

Anyway, here's how it looks when you select the Fill tool in Photoshop. Oddly enough, the Paint Bucket fill tool.Does not work like that.

Regards,Joe

I loved this "simple" feature in v. 11...very frustrated when they made it more complicated in later versions.

I'm still using v11 so I haven't missed it but I would if I decided to upgrade.

We were surprised how much love this got. It’s been something we’ve wanted to do in the near future, but your votes kicked this up ahead of some other things on the list. We aren’t sure of the exact location in the UI just yet, but we’ll keep you all in the loop as it gets closer to being started.

Thank you for voting!

I am not unhappy with the way it is implemented but could it be more accessible?  That along with the color wheels where one can get and / or input the Web cod /RGB / CMYK / HSL etc equivalents

We're moving this from under consideration to planned. This should hopefully alleviate any excessive clicks when using the Fill tool.

Here is what it will look like:

You can also hold the Ctrl key when using this tool to immediately pick the color you want.

This is planned to release in an upcoming release of Snagit. It is under development right now. If anyone is interested in future betas. Let me know: c.larson@techsmith.com. Again, thank you for voting!

I would like to by icons in this order... ( 3 icons)

Eyedropper |  Color Palette Hexagon |  Fill

And add "Eyedropper" shortcut in the toolbar
And more easier "Buttons" for Copy/Paste "Color code"

Yes, sir! I should have probably said: "And remember! You can also hold the Ctrl key when using this tool to immediately pick the color you want."
