The fade transition will not remove the "Use trimmed content" even if it is unchecked in the properties panel and when I try unchecking by right clicking on the transition and unchecking there.

Seeing the same problem, using Camtasia 9.0.1 (Windows), video with all of is nice FADE TRANSITIONS looks great in the preview, but when I create the MP4 version, the transitions have been changed to "cuts"... and the video looks terrible.  Help!  Any advice?

I've also got this problem, has anyone found a work around?

Edit : Tried with .avi and that works though .mp4 doesn't.

I'm running version 9.0 and don't have any problem applying fade transitions to mp4's. They play correctly after producing the project.

You could revert back to 9.0 for now. If you haven't saved the installation files for 9.0 you could try contacting Tech Support and see if they will give you a download link to 9.0.The website than normally carries older versions doesn't offer 9.0 for some reason.

Word of caution here. A 9.1 projects probably won't open in 9.0

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Funny thing... I've tried rendering the video in WMV format and it works fine... but the MP4 video is still looking terrible.

We can reproduce the behavior here in Tech Support.  We're logging a bug on this now so we can get this fixed as soon as possible.

Please. This has really deteriorated the quality of our videos over the last couple months.

It looks like the 9.0.3 release back in January included a fix for this bug.

I have 9.0.3 under Windows 10. When I apply the Fade transition to a Callout, it isn't working at all, at least not in Camtasia (maybe it is applied in the mp4). I want to fade the Callout in and fade it out. How should I proceed so that I can see it also in Camtasia?

The "No Opacity" and "Full Opacity" Animations seem to work OK on Callouts.

Just upgraded to 9.0.4 build today and I'm dealing with the same problem. When two objects are directly adjacent to each other and I apply a transition to the callout on one and the callout on the subsequent one. The transitions immediately remove the callouts abruptly. There is no fading and the "Use trimmed content" is checked off.

Please advise.

That isn't something we've been able to reproduce in-house so far, so it'd probably be best to work through tech support so we can take a look at one of your project files. Here's the link: https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/requests/new Thanks!

I've managed to use the fade effect on my callouts from the Add Behavior option under the Modify heading but transitions of certain picture objects continue to just happen abruptly with no option to actually make the object fade in or out.

Please advise
