Seeing the same problem, using Camtasia 9.0.1 (Windows), video with all of is nice FADE TRANSITIONS looks great in the preview, but when I create the MP4 version, the transitions have been changed to "cuts"... and the video looks terrible. Help! Any advice?

Edit : Tried with .avi and that works though .mp4 doesn't.

You could revert back to 9.0 for now. If you haven't saved the installation files for 9.0 you could try contacting Tech Support and see if they will give you a download link to 9.0.The website than normally carries older versions doesn't offer 9.0 for some reason.
Word of caution here. A 9.1 projects probably won't open in 9.0

Thanks for the feedback everyone!
Funny thing... I've tried rendering the video in WMV format and it works fine... but the MP4 video is still looking terrible.
