failed to abort record

failed to abort RECORDING . ive started recording a hour ago. i recorded one hour , trying to do a speedpaint and when i wanted to stop the recorder , it said that it failed to abort the recording , my  drawing app crashed too ,because of camtasia,, and didnt save the drawing. PLEASE SOLVE THIS!

I've never encountered that error myself.

My "Guess" as to what may have occurred? All that painting combined with the recording overwhelmed your operation system in some way.
Saturating system RAM or something along that line. Thats why the drawing app crashed at the same time.

How much RAM memory does your computer have.
Could you post your computers specs.

Crashes create error reports in your computer files.I'm not qualified to look at them and make a determination as to what went wrong.

If you are using a supported version of Camtasia. That would include Camtasia 9, 2018, and 2019.
You could contact support, let them look into it.

By default, Camtasia saves the initial recording to a temp folder on your C drive.
If you don't have enough free space on your C drive.That can create problems as well.
