when the program is being installed, comes out the message shown in the picture.
what do I do?
I have the same problem and wonder how to make it work if you don't have admin right to your PC.
This particular issue can happen when attempting to install from the Temp directory (generally happens if you simply clicked "Run" after clicking on the Download link) or if you are trying to install an application from a network location. Try downloading the application once more, but this time click the "Save" button and wait for the file to be downloaded. Once downloaded you will want to go to your Downloads folder and then double-click on Camtasia.exe.
Do you still have the issue after following those install steps?
I installed it from a downloaded exe file. Installed locally, it still copied all the files to a temp folder of the account installing it. When running it the first time from my account (not admin), it looked for the files in the temp folder where it installed from. Since I don't have admin account, I can't access the folder it was installed from. See screen shot below:
Where can I download the file Setup_CamtasiaStudio8_x86_ENU.msi?
Without it I can not complete the installation.
And I repeat that I need to download the .msi files, not .exe
Please try this link:
I select the camtasia.msi files, and when I click ok, check another message. He says the camtasia.msi file is not valid for the product Camtasia Studio 8, and to complete the installation, serves Setup_CamtasiaStudio8_x86_ENU.msi file.
Going to look in the folders I found this.
Are you attempting to install Camtasia using one of the links Kelly has provided above?
The Document File shown in your screen shot with "Today's Date" should not be in the Temp folder.
A document file marked "INSTALL" is not typically provided by a software manufacturer.
Third party software venders provide them sometimes.
In some cases they are even provided by Software Pirates.
If you download Camtasia directly from TechSmith the Temp files should actually look like this.
You should contact Tech support directly for further assistance. They will have no problem helping you sort this all out.
