What is everyone's favorite part of SnagIt? Recently I've been using the cut out tool a lot to clean up screen shots and I love it. What are some other features that people have been using a lot lately?

Wow, where to begin? Certainly the cut out is awesome. I too find it useful.

However, given my daily use of SnagIt, I'd have to say that the likely most often used part of it was only introduced in version 13. And that's the new tool to add large text with outlines. I've been engaged in making my own memes to use on social media.

Perhaps my second most often used tool is actually two different tools that compete for second place. I love the Step tool but am also using the Shape tool. I often assist others with answering software questions. Not only here, but also in Adobe support forums. So I'm often outlining places of interest as well as providing Step by Step information such as click here, then here, etc...

Cheers... Rick :)

I don't have a Favorite Part

I have a  "Favorite Feature"....The ability to capture an image and send it to directly to a File or Program of my choosing.
I do this using a hot key and nothing more.I send a lot of my captures directly to Photoshop and SnagIt opens Photoshop and places the image in the workspace.

My favorite part is the thing it does best.  That is the incredibly easy way it captures screenshots and the easy way one is able to annotate them.  My thing is to relate complex information simply in a way that saves me time as well as the other person.  Snagit excels in that and all the other stuff we talk about here is basically how many angels can fit on the head of a pin.  Never mind that I love v 11 and not 13 because all versions do things well.

However, Get Satisfaction is another matter since I constantly have problems logging in with my preferred browser.  That shows how much I like Snagit because I would have bolted years ago if it wasn't for Snagit.

Now, what the heck is my username and password anyway.

Hi all!

This is a great thread and I just wanted to pop in here and also tell of my favorite part of Snagit. My Support role here at TechSmith has me using Snagit constantly and without a doubt my favorite part of Snagit is the Step Tool. Being able to quickly direct a user's attention throughout an image is invaluable, especially when it is in a stressful situation (like Tech Support). That little bit of clear, concise instruction can go a long way when it is easily deciphered using the step tool to direct.

Thanks for sharing these, I'd love to see more!
