  • Just finished a large project, cutting down a screen recording of a 100 minute web recording into content "chunks. A number of ideas for future features came to mind. Here's my wish list:

  • CTRL+SHIFT+S for Save All
  • The waveform displayed in audio tracks is out of synch with the actual audio (the actual audio is about 2 seconds ahead of where you would think it should be looking at the waveform display)
  • Add "one-click" buttons to zoom out to show entire timeline, and to zoom to selection.
  • Close choice on the File menu.
  • Scroll arrows at both ends of the scroll bar beneath the timeline (allows more precise positioning of the scroll box beneath the timeline)
  • CTRL+W to close the current project without opening another project.
  • Production Wizard default to the last used setting when it is a saved custom setting.
  • Ability to assign hot keys to functions that do not otherwise have hot keys assigned to them
  • Ability to select every clip on the timeline from the currently selected clip by clicking a button instead of having to draw a marquee around all the other clips.
  • Hot key for Share>LocalFile
  • Hot key to remove all markers
  • Ability to print out all markers with each marker's time point.
  • Ripple delete to delete blank space on the timeline
  • Ability to restore ripple delete (something like click on the join, and restore)
  • Markers follow their place on a clip when something is ripple-deleted in front of the clip.
  • Ripple delete on one timeline moves clips on other timelines in synch with their place relative to the the clip in the timeline where the delete was performed.
  • A pony for Christmas
  • World Peace

Hi there

WRT "Ability to select every clip on the timeline from the currently selected clip by clicking a button instead of having to draw a marquee around all the other clips."

Have you tried placing the playhead at the beginning of the first selected clip, then pressing Ctrl+Shift+End? That seems to work on my setup.

WRT "Ripple delete to delete blank space on the timeline"

Again, select the desired blank area, then either right-click or press Ctrl+Delete to ripple delete.

WRT: "Markers follow their place on a clip when something is ripple-deleted in front of the clip."

Were you aware that you can also assign markers to media clips and not just to the timeline?

Here's a pony and whirled peas!

Cheers... Rick :)
