Sometimes I want to crop an image to a specific size: predefined standard 1080piX720pi or a user definedsize, example: 600piX 400pi.
Yes, I know Snagit show you dynamically the dimensions of your crop as you move thecropping grid. However, what I propose is to fix the cropping grid to aspecific size (multiple choices and user defined, like resizing) and be able tomove the rectangle over the image to view the result of the cropping beforeaccepting the changes. Does this make sense?

It makes plenty of sense.
As far as I know, most photo editors have this capability.

I'd also like the ability to select from recently-used capture sizes and to be able to mark sizes as "favorites" for quick access in the future.

Yes; this would be incredibly helpful. Taking it a step further, it would be great to be able to lock the canvas size so the user doesn't have to worry about it getting bigger when editing after creating the specific size you want.
Thanks.

Hopefully you are aware that there is a setting that governs canvas expansion.
In the editor, click Edit > Editor Preferences... > Editor tab.

Rick, this is a spectacular help. I didn't know it exists. Turning off this option does exactly what I want it to do.
FYI, on SnagIt for Mac, I found it on the Advanced Tab in Preferences.
Thanks for this and for your other suggestion (although I can't implement the other (watermark) because it looks to be a Windows-only feature).
David :-)

Shutterstock's Editor has a particularly useful implementation of the social media etc platform sizes. Look:
