Sometimes I don't need the editor and would love a button on the All-in-One bar that sends my capture to my clipboard without it opening it, but still saving it to my editor library.

I think you can do this now. Click the snagit icon in your menu bar, then add a new preset, make sure "preview in editor" is turned off and "copy to clipboard" is turned on.  Hit the green save button and give it a name, then for convenience, pick a shortcut (make sure it's one that's not already in use).

Correct.

Any capture goes to the library anyway! I had the same thing in mind few days ago but then, it is so tedious to get the editor back up that I decided to keep it always open :)

I really love the ease of accessing the All-in-One function from my printscreen button and I'd just like a button on the popup toolbar that lets me do so without having to start from OneClick (which I have not enjoyed using since SnagIt 10) or another more complicated way.

Why even worry about the popup toolbar.

You can do exactly what your post title asks (except the button on toolbar)
"send to clipboard w/o opening the editor"  using a keyboard hotkey.

Create a new image capture preset for how you want to do your capture ie;  region, fixed region, window, fullscreen, etc. Turn off "Preview in Editor".  Turn on "Copy to Clipboard" and set any other options.

Give it a name and set a keyboard hotkey.

One stroke of a keyboard key and capture done.
Saved to clipboard and No editor opening.

I think it would be wonderful to have access to everything I want at the push of one single button, and sometimes it's not until after I've set the capture space that I realize I don't need to modify it at all. By then it's too late and I'm going to have to go through the Editor.

So I'm not worried about it. I would like it this way because this is how I work and so I am requesting it because, as I said earlier, "I really love the ease of accessing the All-in-One function from my printscreen button and I'd just like a button on the popup toolbar that lets me do so".

I dig !

Thought you were just wanting a quick and simple way to do the type of capture
in your title.

All Good :)

And I appreciate the advanced knowledge that you and Jack Fruh brought to my comment, so for now I've got as close to a workaround as I'm going to get.

Thank you :)
