FILES ALWAYS MISSING

I've created 3 projects so far.  When I go back to open them, the files I've uploaded and placed on the timeline are missing. I just don't get it, but I am getting ready to give up.  Does anyone have any insight and/or best practices for preventing files from getting lost?  I thought that once you upload them, they are part of the project.  Apparently not.   Thank you!

Hello - Your project assets appear missing because they're no longer in the location they were when the project was last saved. Camtasia does give you the opportunity to find them in whatever new location they are in. Then re-saving the project again, it'll remember where these assets are. Best practice is to dedicate a folder and keep your assets there. You used the term 'upload' are you expecting Camtasia to remember a folder location (internet) that is not local to the PC? That's not likely to work.

Hi there

In addition to what Timbre4 has offered, perhaps the links below will be helpful?
