Finding original .camproj file from produced .mp4 or .trec file

One of my colleagues made a Camtasia project, but unfortunately she misplaced the .camproj file. Is there a way to identify where the .camproj file is from the .trec recording file? She also produced .mp4 videos with the built-in Camtasia controller/player. Do any of these files record the location of the .camproj that created it?

Thanks for any help!

Hello there,
It would be helpful if the camproj. has a known file name associated with it.

 See Image Below.

But you can run the Windows search engine on each Drive of the computer containing the files by typing "camproj." in the search window of the "File Explorer".

If the files still exist you can probably find them.
You can also Taylor the  search by  "Date Modified" > " File Size" and other search parameters. This will narrow the search a lot.

Regards, Joe

If you moved the original camproj file, you might still have issues finding all the camrecs and other media that you had in the camproj - which is simply an xml file pointing to the media resources. The preferred workflow is to zip the camproj (in Camtasia - File > export to zip) and then if your associate wants to work on the project - that person just uses File > import zip into an empty camproj.

These were helpful. Unfortunately we couldn't locate the files, but I appreciate the feedback.
