Fix flickering in supplied video footage

I have been given some footage to edit and there is a lot of flickering in it. Not recorded through Camstudio but on a camera. Is there any editing capability within Camtasia Studio that can help fix this? Or an anti flicker plugin that can be downloaded that is compatible?

there is nothing in Camtasia that will automatically address this

I ran into this issue a few years back when I converted many old VHS tapes to digital; the old stuff flickered a lot

the only solution was to select and cut out the bad sections [my flicker looked like black frames]; results were very acceptable

Cool. Mine is a rolling flicker over the whole thing sadly. Thanks anyway =)

There's a plugin called Flicker Free that usually solves this problem (rolling flicker), but unfortunately it doesn't support Camtasia. It'd be nice if Camtasia supported the OpenFX plugin standard, it'd open up the ability to use a lot of third party tools. Here's the link if you're interested in it:
