Hey,

When I'm recording games with Camtasia 2019 (windows), my screen always flickering/ blinking and I can't play and proper record the game, because it's really frustrating and even if I make video I can't see proper game play... any ideas maybe how to fix this. ( please check video )

I have quite decent/powerful gaming laptop (snip attached ), so maybe someone will know how to fix this.

Issue looks like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsRAiuL4Y9Y&feature=youtu.be

It may be that your game is interfering with Camtasia's use of the Video Card. In your Camtasia project editor, go to [Edit], [Preferences], [Advanced] tab,  click Hardware Acceleration and select "Software Only".

The thing is, it's not a video, when I press record button and then release the game, game not working proper straight away and flickering all the time, not only when I finish record and start to use editor tab. Its live shows what I'm seeing while recording. Maybe I need to change something before recording ?

Whats the refresh rate of the monitor.

I'm guessing here,
I'm thinking Camtasia might not be capable of keeping up a gaming monitor running over 60Hz.

No, 60Hz is normal.

Is that a game that runs in Full Screen mode.
If so, see if it has settings that allow it to run in Windowed mode.
Older versions of Camtasia couldn't capture games in full screen mode, as far as I know that hasn't changed?
I'll run a test on my end.
Back in a bit.

I ran a test with Crysis 2.
When I launched the recorder it forced Crisis into windowed mode, I couldn't over ride it.
This is new behaviour, bare in mind. I don't normally record video games.
I don't know when this change occurred or if it effects all games?
