Hi,
It looks like your video didn't come through, you may have to post a link to it, I don't believe get satisfaction supports uploading videos.
I tried flipping a few objects and they appear to be working, so I'm interested to see what's different.

I can confirm this behavior running Snagit 2019 2019.1.1 (94025) on macOS 10.12.6.

Thanks for the video. Sorry about the confusion, the flip horizontal/vertical is only meant for objects that you've added to a capture and doesn't work on the capture itself. We can add that as a feature request though.

the flip horizontal/vertical is only meant for objects that you've added to a capture and doesn't work on the capture itselfThen you should NOT enable the flip menu items unless/until an object has been selected that CAN be filpped.
Please do add a feature request to flip the base image/capture.

Agreed! Those items are disabled with nothing selected, but we had missed the case where you had the whole image selected. A feature request has been logged with the team.

I literaly just purchased Snagit for the purpose of flipping (and then editing) an original image to now find out it doesn't work. Major disappointment!

There is a way to fool it. It's clunky but it works, in Windows, and it might in Mac
1. Take your screenshot or open your image
2. Select the whole image (Ctrl+A) in Windows - don't know the Mac equivalent
3. Paste the copy you just took.
4. Now, it's an object you can flip, so flip it
5. Reposition it over the original image
6. Flatten it.
As I said, it ain't pretty, but it works, in Windows.
Good luck

This works, but it is not intuitive. Snagit please update your video to talk about object versus image or whichever the terminology
