Folders view is gone in Library V11.4. I have thousands of .snag files in folders for training manuals and updating them is now EXTREMELY cumbersome since I can not preview the file before I open it in browse. Please reconsider the impact on long time users that have accumulated many library files over the years. Thank you.

It is interesting to see this topic come up again.   The lost of a folder view has been a source of iration for me.   I rename my snag captures to reflect the nature of the capture.  When renamed and stored in a project folder and/or subfolder it was  easy to find and view the capture for reuse and re-editing.  I also have two revision of SnagIt but as others have said, it is a pain to have to close one and open the other.

It is sad that TechSmith has ignored longtime users.    They don't seem to understand that keeping current loyal clients is valuable.   As other have said, I gave up complaining.     I no longer recommend SnagIt to colleagues.  The attitude that because people are no longer complaining means there is no longer an issue is arrogant in my view.

Very true ElaineLMC.....capturing and saving as a named snag file is the only way to be able to future Edit the file.  Saving as JPG will not allow Snagit to edit previous Snag files.  However, as best as I can tell, the Folder Tree is the only function available to Scroll View the Thumbnails since the IE Explorer or the FileOpen in the Editor can only Line view any renamed file.  Looking at a page of Thumbnails makes life so much easier.

I still cannot figure why the Folder function cannot view the Default Snagit Folder where all the basic files are stored.....as I noted in my previous comment above.

Snagit did a dis-service to those users that utilized the Folder function for years by taking it away, instead of giving a work around.  Going back and renaming all your existing project files would be a lot of work.  Keeping  or reloading v11.3 has been a life saver for all of us, till Snagit fails with a newer OS!!

It keeps coming up because it is such a sort of irritation to long time users.   the old saying that new friends are silver but old ones are gold is being ignored by TechSmith.   A sad sad commentary or a previously great company.
