For the Snagit "All In One" capture workflow, add a "Copy to Clipboard" option.

I'd like an option to put a capture into the clipboard - and nowhere else! With some frequency, I'm making captures of small areas of the screen, with no need to annotate or even save on my computer, for immediate insertion into a forum post for other software I use (SketchUp).

I don't want to always capture to clipboard, so that option on the capture screen doesn't work.

Currently, when using all in one, the options are: Still, Video, Panorama. To this I'd like to see the addition of "Clipboard" which, when used, bypasses my "Preview in Editor" preference and leaves the capture only on the clipboard - and NOT in the Editor history.

Just create a preset with the option copy to clipboard ON and View in Editor OFF

That worked! But it took me a bit to figure out that I needed to create TWO presets: 1 for my normal All in One capture and one for my Clipboard Only option. Note I had NO presets with assigned hot keys before this. When I, as you suggested, created the preset and set it to <cltl><PrintScreen>, it worked, but my NEXT capture using only <PrintScreen> went to the clipboard only - <PrintScreen> previously went to the All in One choices.

I ended up setting All in One to <shift><PrintScreen> after TRYING to set it to <Printscreen> - the setting didn't "take".

I've always know that SnagIt has far more features and power than I need, I'm just an occasional user with no need for screen capture in my professional workflow. I use it mostly to explain computer stuff to my non-techie friends and family, and for the aforementioned posts to the SketchUp forum. So I'm not surprised that I didn't know this until you pointed it out.

Thanks!

I have one that does this exactly (plus reduces it to 500 px tall which is something I need)

@sjdorst If you need help with any of that just post back
