Framerate for video captures with Snagit 12?

Looks like the video editing features have been extended with Snagit12. It now seems to be possible to trim the video capture and to publish it directly to different channels. Is it also possible again to set the framerate manually (to more than 15 FPS)?

Unfortunately, you cannot change the frame rate. I have a nice computer and at full screen SnagIt 12 for Windows captures video at between 9 and 10fps max. I know nothing about the Mac Version.
If you're looking for smooth recordings that contain a lot of motion. That too, isn't going to happen. If you're recording a mostly static screen. Like a demonstration of how to use a program like Word. You get good results.

Regards, Joe

Use Camtasia at 30fps - works brilliantly for full motion video, even imported MP4s

This is great news- however the auto frame rates and settings implimented by 11 seem to be optimized for 90 percent of my captures-
I would like some setting that would compact the size- even a 1 or 2 minute video are too large to send via e-mail.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Frame rate? Why is it so low?.

When I finish recording, my videos are only, at the most, 10 FPS. I need at least 29.97 for it to be sufficient, and there doesn't seem to be a frame rate adjustment setting.
Did I miss anything or is this a problem with the software?

If Snagit sold cars:

"Please enjoy your new car.  It has all the latest bells and whistles.  However, to insure the optimal driving experience, you car has been "upgraded" so that the speed maxes out at 15 kph.  We think that's plenty fast enough, and could care less that you might want to go faster.  You're not competent to know what you really want anyway."

Dear Technsmith,
is this going to be amended in Snagit 13? Is there a roadmap available for Snagit?
I also believe the option to record at least 30fps without lossy compression is necessary for the casual screencaster which still wants a quality recording. I will wait for your reply before making any purchases or recommending this product.
best regards
