FREE Camtasia 9 ASSETS - Here, have mine!

Hi everyone,

Here, have some freebies:

I was frustrated by the lack of shapes that did what I wanted in Camtasia (both paid and free from any sites) so I made some using the knowledge gained from the a ScreenCasting Course I am doing about using PowerPoint as a resource with Camtasia.

OK, they are not "professional" and perhaps they could have been done more easily from within Camtasia. However, I could not do what I wanted using the default shapes  so these ones fill my need.

I have also made a couple of other things - An animated lower third and some of what I call animated "pointers".

I am making them all freely available in .libzip format to anybody who wants them. No attribution required and yes, you can share them.

If you have done the same, would you consider sharing yours?

Get them from OneDrive here:  https://1drv.ms/f/s!AlX2VGGdRhxwwy-jBG-SLv108nef

For those who are using a Mac, I have not tried them on Mac but if you are interested, I can just make  the assets into a general zip file.... (for some reason, I thought that in C9 the libzip files would be accessible to both Mac and Windows).

In the spirit of sharing, I've got a libzip of keystrokes if anyone wants them.

This was uploaded to WeTransfer. I'm not sure if there's a download limit. If there is and it's reached, pop a reply and I'll perhaps upload them to ScreenCast if I'm able.

Cheers... Rick :)

Thanks Rick, very kind of you. Unfortunately though, I cannot import them - C9 tells me the file is not supported... :(

But I love that you shared :)

Well, crudaroonies

I exported these from V8. Lemme see if I can coax them into V9 and try exporting from there.

Appreciate the heads up!

It might not be you - I cannot seem to bring in anything from my own CS8 library either.  I am going to try reinstalling C9 and seeing if that works to import my old library.
Seems like overkill but I just cannot for the life of me get anything old in to C9!

I've been able to import CS8 Library libzip files into CS9; just get the familiar "need to upgrade" notice

I'm guessing that because these were the Keystroke callouts from V8 that they don't work in V9.

Hi PJones.
If you are using the "SM shape objects.zip" file, you will need to double click to open the package, then drag and drop the resource you want into the camtasia library.

There are several options depending on what you have and where you want them.
Go to Library Tab, right click just below the last folder, select Import Media or Import Zipped.
You can also create a New folder and right click that folder or any existing folder and Import into that or drag and drop.

So Mac users won't be able to use the .libzip files-we don't have library functionality. But the .zip file with all the shapes is awesome, thanks!

I was afraid of that, that something that could  be useful. Yet easy to install on PC version. But no way to add such to Mac. Evidently the people no very little about Mac Programming.
