My snag it free trial said I had 2 days left and when I restarted my laptop it said I had 0 days. I just activated this trial (for EMAIL REMOVED HERE.com) on 9/18. I thought I had 14 days at least. I'm in the process of trying to complete a deadline driven project and show my department that we need licenses for all designers. This SNAFU is not helping at all....

Did you try the [Give Me More Time] button when the expiration notice came up?

I'm not sure offhand what might cause the trial period to accelerate like that. I would recommend contacting our support staff, they may have some other options for you too.

Is it possible that an adjustment to the computer date would cause this? Perhaps the software sensing that the date has been adjusted in an effort to bypass the free trial?

I recall once a similar thing happening when I was working as a corporate drone. One of my software packages just inexplicably stopped working. Turned out that when I logged into the network, there was one server that was hit that caused a change to the computer date. Thus the software saw this as some illegal move. Once the network administrators corrected the date on that server, all was well and things began working again.

Cheers... Rick :)

Hello Marie,

With Camtasia, you could type "Repeat" into where you normally type the activation key to extend the trial version.

I don't know if this works for SnagIt or not.But its worth a shot.
