Just did a fresh install of 8.0.0 yesterday (on 64-bit win7), and it seems pretty buggy.

For example, I can record camrecs fine (and preview them in the capture window that comes up after you press F10). If I try to save anything out of the capture window, the save dialog gets badly clipped (and moving it around causes things to stop re-painting).

If I bring the camrec into Camtasia studio, the preview pane is totally broken. When trying to preview videos, It shows me a single sliver (maybe 1-2 pixels in width) down the middle, and the rest is black.

Hi Lance,

We have seen that preview window issue internally before (although very rarely). You could try disabling GPU acceleration in the Tools->Options menu.

Alternatively, you could make sure your video card drivers are up to date.

If the problem persists, I would love it if you could get in touch with our support department. We would like to get some system information from you so that we can diagnose why things are running so poorly on your machine.

Disabling the GPU acceleration seems to have fixed the preview issue (thanks Randy).

The save dialog still gets clipped, but I can work around that for the time being. After looking at it again, its like there's a 1/2 inch black frame all the way around the capture window (and any place the save dialog intersects this, it gets clipped). You can see this dragging the save dialog around too (drag it towards the center, and it looks fine, drag it around the outside, it gets clipped).
