fuse feature request: "select all" option for export

What

Feature request for Fuse app: Ability to "Select All" photos in the Fuse library for sending to Snagit, Camtasia, etc.

Why/How

I recently took over 100 hundred photos in one session from the Fuse app so that they were all stored in the Fuse image library.

I then wanted to send all the photos to Snagit on my laptop at once, but there was no "select all" option that I could find. Instead, I had to select all 100+ photos individually before I could export them.

This is a typical scenario for me, so I would use the "Select All" option in most instances, and it would save me a lot of time.

Specs

I'm using Fuse 1.4.1 on an iPhone 5 (iOS 7.1.2).

Hey Jason

Interesting request. I would say we have a way to at least partially handle this for you via our Quick Share.
  • When I choose one of the products, all of those images will be sent without having to select them all by hand.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you collecting so many pictures of and how are you using them inside of Snagit or Camtasia? That's a lot of images :)

Hope that helps some, thanks for the request,

Ah, ok, thanks Scott – that will help some. I can use this in some instances – maybe if I get interrupted, I can send the photos to my laptop before turning off my phone, etc.

I'm a tech writer for a manufacturing company, so I often take lots of pictures of the product as I'm working through a repair procedure, as one example.

So I may be out on the production floor, or in a lab, with only my phone. I'll take a bunch of pictures to document each step, then send them to my laptop when I get back to my desk.

Some of these pictures may end up in the documentation, or I may just use them as a helpful reference as I write the procedure.

It's nice to use Fuse for this many photos, and for photos of this kind, for 2 reasons:
  • It's super easy to send the photos to Snagit on my laptop, where I can batch export them to a network drive.
  • Taking the photos within Fuse prevents them from getting auto-saved to my iCloud Photostream, so they never get past the company firewall.
Anyway, thanks again for the idea, and for considering the request...

@Jason, very interesting use case, thanks a lot.

Also, your Quick Share will keep collecting for you even if you leave the app or turn off your phone. The only time we clear the Quick Share is if you transfer any of the items that were in the Quick Share, or if you go to the Library inside of Fuse.

Thanks again for the info, glad we are helping you out,
Scott
