Is it possible to change the color scheme for the GetSatisfaction site?

Does TechSmith have any influence over the appearance of this area of the GetSatisfaction forum?

I ask, because if you do, it would be very helpful if some of the coloring could be changed. I'm not sure about others that visit, but for me, when I create a thread or reply to one, the faint blue against the white makes it nearly impossible to see the areas listing the "Conversation Type" and Sentiment without jumping through hoops and readjusting my laptop screen to a different angle.

All that is needed here is slightly more contrast. Perhaps a darker shade of the bluish gray color?

Cheers... Rick :)

Rick, what browser are you using?

On my system, I do not have a problem w/contrast; using Chrome on a 24" monitor

I display at 150% zoom

I ask because I do see different colors rendered by different browsers

I'm using Firefox 28.0. Might also be that I'm on a laptop. Most of the time I can see nearly anything but these forums. And to get the contrast where I need it, I find myself positioning the screen at different angles. But it only seems to happen on this site.

Cheers... Rick :)

I get excellent color and contrast as well. I use a Dell Super Sharp as my main monitor. My HP 2311 needed a fair amount of tweaking right out of the box. Looks great now.
I'm just saying, if your laptops monitor is decent you can probably do yourself a favor through adjustments.
Make a note of current settings before changing anything. That way you know you can revert back. That's if your monitor has it's own controls.
I don't know what system your running but windows 7 and  8, maybe others as  well. You can open your control panel,  Appearance and Personation,   Display,   Calibrate Color--------  it's a wizard that will walk you through it.
It has the option to see and save your changes at the end of the process, or revert back.
It does a nice job and will also fine tune text clarity through another wizard as well.
90% or better chance you will be impressed with the end result.
Or you can check Spam and look for a date, Just Kidding LOL. A lot of meet a girl spam posted earlier.
Regards, Joe

I'm running Firefox 27.0, I never actually use it and could not figure out how to upgrade to 28.0 but I have no problem with visibility in that browser either. That should indicate that the Browser is not the issue.
I bought my Supersharp monitor because it's highly rated for color accuracy and video editing. It was an expensive but very nice monitor that required NO adjustments at all. As a general rule most monitors need tweaking.
Movie makers recalibrate their video monitors frequently.

Hi Rick - we do have some control over the color scheme and are overdue for an update. Can you post a screenshot showing the text that's problematic to you?

Thanks for mentioning the issue!

Thanks Daniel

Here are the problem areas:

But since I didn't see anything from others and I seem to be the only complainer, I'm quite happy to concede it's just an issue for my own setup and there isn't a need for you to make any changes.

Cheers... Rick :)
