It would VERY COOL if you could put a "grid" option into the program. This would help me line up the annotations and text I add to the screen when I make them move around and grow/shrink.

Hey Peter,

Are you looking for something that stays on the screen the entire time, unlike the snap lines?

Well, the SNAP feature is a bit jumpy, so I need to use my arrow keys more often.

I don't have visible snap lines on my camtasia screen.

I would love a switch that would turn on/off a grid on the screen - but not visible in the final exported version. Maybe an option for a few gridlines or many gridlines.

Hey Folks, although I'm in now way a professional anything, I use Snagit daily. One thing I really need is alignment help. What I think I need is an overlay grid. The grid overlay should have the following characteristics:
1. The grid should overlay your complete work area screen.
2. You must be able to turn the grid on or off with a mouse click or hot key.
3. The grid pattern distance, line color and thickness should be choose-able.
4. The grid should change size with magnification but maintain position on the image..
5. The grid can print if visible on screen - the grid can NOT be saved with the file.
To make it more perfect - allow us to move the grid to where we want it and then lock it in place in the work area.

I know this is a lot to ask but I deal with most things symmetrically......lol! What do you think? I can't be the only one that needs or wants this.
