Google Slides Presentation Sizing for Camtasia

I am using Google Slides for my e-course presentations and having the most difficult time with sizing the Presentation window for screen recording in Camtasia. I have tried all of the sizes but it is cutting off the top of the presentation when viewing on playback. Downloading slides to PPT and then importing individual slides to Camtasia and narrating in this manner is really a terrible way to go.  Maybe I am missing something, but could you give me the proper presentation size dimensions for showing the entire slide on the playback to Camtasia? Thanks.

If possible, use presenter mode and a second screen. Set resolution on second screen to what you need in Camtasia ( 1280x720 etc) and record fullscreen.

Thanks - but, not sure I understand. What do you mean by a second screen. Anyway to show me?

Normally that means to connect a second monitor to your computer. Then present the slide show on the second monitor and capture that.

Thanks, but I am really wondering why this is necessary anyway to do this? I can't be the only one trying to import a PPT and finding the dimensions off. I did write to the company and maybe they can help - do not have a second monitor. Appreciate your response, though.

If you only have one monitor, your best bet is to simply present at full screen, then configure Camtasia to record full screen. That should give you what you want, no?

Hi Alexis, I use Google slides and Camtasia all on one screen. I even have the slides notes open.  open google slides in preview then select the icon 3rd from the end it looks like 4 corners click.. it minimizes the screen. Then I launch Camtasia and select 1280 / 720 ..  I drag my browser over then size my browser using that region frame.. then close it out. I then position the browser where I want it on my screen. In the Camtasia recording box, I use the custom region to frame my browser.  I launch notes and start filming.  Best...Alix

Thanks, Alix. I did not have it on full LED and that made a difference. However, what I am noticing now is when I am using Camtasia to record myself speaking before going into presentation mode, the area as a lot of black around it. If I change it to 100% there is still a black box around my full screen. I did get the Google slides to work well and that is not the issue anymore. Any ideas for changing that section to take up the full screen? I am attaching a copy of what I am talking about. Thanks. Alexis

Hi Alexis, not sure but when I am editing and have the program stretched out it looks like there is black space but it not really. also, you can click in the image and then drag the dots on all 4 sides to fill up the screen. Hopefully, someone else can chime in. best...Alix
