H.265 Standard

The High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) protocol, also known as H.265, was developed as a successor to H.264 by the Joint Collaborative Team on Video Coding (JCT-VC). The H.265 protocol reduces the bit rate required for streaming video when compared to H.264 while maintaining comparable video quality. Advantages such as lower latency can be realized with the H.265 procotol.
The question for CAMTASIA is the following: do you have plans to support H.265 in the near future?, thanks!.
Best regards,

I've done some work with H265 on some video stuff and the results have been pretty mixed.
It seems that it offers ultra high compression with halfway decent quality, but to really capture the original I have to crank the bitrate up so high that the benefits of using it aren't any better than H264.

The mac version of Camtasia supports apples lossless codecĀ  - if someone had enough time they could create a screen recording on the mac version, export lossless and then do a conversion to h264/h265 to see if screenrecording content shows any benefit.
