Are you saying that the recorded cursor rendered in the preview changes into a hand icon?  That definitely should not happen.   Or are you referring to your own cursor?

I have a guess as to what is happening.  Cursor smoothing moves the position the cursor is drawn at, but it does not change anything else about the cursor.  When you recorded your screen, the cursor was over something that wanted a hand icon.  Cursor smoothing has moved the cursor, but it has not changed the icon.  .  This can introduce inconsistencies between what the cursor looks like and what it would have looked like had it really been in that position when you recorded it.  In this case the cursor is a hand icon even though it is not over something that requires a hand icon.  There are also inconsistencies with things highlighting when it looks like they should not because the cursor has moved.

If you remove cursor smoothing, does the cursor icon actually change?  My guess is that it is not changing.   It just looks wrong.

Unfortunately this is not an easy problem to solve.  We do not have enough information in the recording to figure out what the cursor really should have been.

One thing we could do that would help with this problem is to allow the user to choose their own cursor.  That way you could at least  manually fix the problem.

No. When I removed the cursor smoothing, the hand icon went away.

That is definitely not expected behavior, and I have no idea why that would happen.  I will take a look to see if I can find an explanation.  I have been unable to reproduce this issue myself.

Thanks. As of now, we have removed the function, but would like to use the feature.
