If it's got a screen on it, I want to capture it. When will there be an Android app to get screen caps of my smart phone screen?

Hi!

It's exciting to see so much interest in this! Can you maybe elaborate a little more about how you might use Snagit if it were on a mobile platform? Have you found alternatives at this point? What problems are you trying to solve on mobile that you're currently unable to?

We're so grateful for your insights!

Thanks,

Jason

It may be more of an issue for me because I've got an older version of Android on an old phone and can't take screen captures with the OS natively.

I'd use the app by being able to select the screen for educational purposes to help illustrate how to do things on your mobile phone.

For web design, being able to grab an image of how a website appears on the the phone, then immediately open it up in Snagit Editor for highlighting areas and commenting on things would be terrific.

Perhaps even being able to capture small video files for instructional purposes as well.

My Samsung Galaxy S4 has good screen capture and annotation abilities, but the one feature it doesn't have is a rolling/scrolling capture. This is useful for capturing complete text message conversations and web pages.

Hi guys, as a YT Gamer, I love recording and sharing my games to people. Unfortunately, because I cannot afford an Iphone or an Ipad for the time being there are no ways to do a screen recording without "Rooting" my device, which is something I do not want to do. If it were possible to have a Techsmith Android app that could record into a format that Camtasia or Snagit could accept it would be brilliant!

I have +1'd the original post, hopefully you guys are making some awesome stuff!

I would also like a SnagIt for android. I use the program on my PC and love it.
