arrows can no longer be moved arrow keys left, right, up, or down.
Also, Keyboard controls have been changed Shift-Control-W no longer is there and is no longer listed.

I may have to Rollback to a previous version.

Hi pjones,

This is what I have in snagit 4.1.0:

It seems that expose was replaced with Mission control - I wonder if they do the same thing?

Also, I am on OSX 10.11.6 - I mention this on the off chance that functionality changed for MacOS 10.12.x

Also, I just tried the expose capture and it looks like what it did was just present your windows, you'd click one and it would take a picture of that one.

This seems to overlap the all in one capture, where you can either select a region, or you can click in a window to capture the whole window.

I realize the workflow is slightly different so if you made use of the expose feature of revealing all your windows, then this won't help, but I at least wanted to point that out.

Now hitting shift-Control-W which use to work,  does absolutely nothing what so ever They need to restore it since it doesn't do anything now. Mine was updated 4.0 to 4.1.2  While must have got an intervening update. If you depend on that like I do. Do not update to 4.1.2. I can't get it to do hitting that combo.

Oh in 10.2.3 control-shift-W does absolutely nothing what so ever.  I use 10.12.3.

Just out of curiousity, what does control-shift-m do on your system?

Also, in case the UI isn't clear, you can click on any of the shortcut buttons, and then type in a new keyboard combo for that shortcut.

So in your case, lets say that you find out that "mission control" is the same as "Exposé" as far as the capture goes, so you want to use Mission control capture, but you liked using the old control-shift-w keys to activate that. You'd just hit the button next to "Mission control Capture:" on your screenshot above, and then type the keys Control-shift-w (all at the same time)

Hi,

"arrows can no longer be moved arrow keys left, right, up, or down."
This appears to work for us internally, can you double check that you aren't typing inside a text field somewhere in the tool properties?

"Keyboard controls have been changed Shift-Control-W no longer is there and is no longer listed"
So sorry about the confusion. Expose capture has been renamed Mission Control to align with what macOS calls it, but it's the same feature. The hotkey Shift-Control-W has been renamed to Shift-Control-M to match the name better. Additionally, Shift-Control-W is now used to toggle webcam on and off during a video recording. I hope this helps clear things up.

So, to capture a window such as a system Modal window you now use shift-Control-M?

I fixed the arrow situation by reinstalling SnagIt Mac by downloading the Trial software, removing just the app to Trash then reinstalling the Snagit application.

I wish when you make significant changes you would announce here or, put in a What's New pop up when you open a new update for the first time.

I just tried out, and the shift-control -M, it does work, and I like the new way it now blacks out everything out except what you instead to make a screen shot.
