Hello, can someone please help me. I submitted my assignment to my tutor yesterday and she cannot open the file. I imported a powerpoint presentation into camtasia by media and then recorded over the presentation. I edited and saved. I renamed the file and pressed safe. Just checked and save button file type  "camtasia project (*.tscproj)"
I am not a techno person at all so can you please help. My tutor asked me to save it in a different format but no option available to do that in the drop down box. When I click on the share button, two boxes appear 1. trial free and 2. buy full version. I downloaded the free trial for 30 days so that i could do assignment for class. Will I have to buy the software if I want my tutor to open my assignment? I am using a windows 10 laptop.

Thank you, Sinéad

Hi there

If you look in the upper right corner of the Camtasia application, you should see a bright green button that says "Share". Click that and you have a variety of options to create output. Most likely, you will want the "Local file" option.

But if you choose ScreenCast.com, you will end up with a video where you can just give your tutor a link to watch the video.

If you get stuck with any of this, just shout back and one of us will help you over the issue you have encountered.

Cheers... Rick :)

Sorry, I missed the last part of your post. Try choosing the trial option.

Thanks, I'm an owner of Camtasia 8, waiting to be able to pay for the upgrade. Anyway, I figured it out by chance. Thank you.

When you save as a .tscproj you are just saving the project you have been working on.

As Rick stated you would use the Trial (unless you are ready to buy) and save as a mp4 video that you could send to your tutor Or host it on Screencast or another platform.

If you made your project with any animation or transitions you would need to upload your video to Screencast for them to work or to your own hosting with all the produced files.

NOTE: With the trial version your videos will be watermarked by Techsmith.
You need to purchase a license (buy Camtasia) to remove that from happening.
