Hello Daniel,

Would you be able to provide a little more detail?
You say you import a song into Camtasia. Then you get an error message
saying "Activate the window"? Does the song appear in the clip bin
before the message shows up? Does the message say anything else? What
happens if you close the message? Any further detail you could give us
would be helpful.

Thank you,
Culver Ganem-Redd

HI,
It might also help to send us a screenshot of what you are seeing.
As far as I know, we don't have any message like that within Camtasia Studio so seeing that message will help us out quite a bit.

What format is the song in? Can you share the song file for testing by others?

Knowing the file format of the song (MP3, WAV, etc.) would indeed be helpful. Also, it would be good to know whether you can successfully play the song in Windows Media Player.

Can you share it? Do other MP3 files behave the same way? What happens if you add one from the Library?

At this point, I would recommend contacting our Technical Support team. You'll be able to share your MP3 with them and they'll work with you to quickly narrow down the cause of your problem and find a
solution. They are available Mon-Fri, 8am-7pm Eastern Time. You can
submit a help ticket here: https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/requests/new, or contact them via phone at 1-800-517-3001 (US and Canada) or +1.517.381.2300 (International). Best of luck, and sorry I couldn't be more helpful on this forum.
