Obviously, this shouldn't be occurring.
This isn't something that comes up around here. Not that I'm aware of.
Theres no standard or recommended fix as a result.

Camtasia  2019,2018 and 9 are all support through TechSmith.
I suggest you contact them.

As Joe said, this shouldn't be happening and it's not something we commonly see here.

How exactly are you opening the project? Is it remotely possible that you are actually opening a different file? (It wouldn't be the first time I've seen that happen and it's also happened to me.)

I typically do the File > Open and browse to my file location. And that was my own issue.

Assuming you work similar to me, one easy way to check would be to click File > Recent Projects.

Cheers... Rick :)

Similar to what Rick asked.
Are you opening the original file or are you opening the the PROJECT File?
You should Not open the original file unless you want to start over.
You should be opening the (Filename).tscproj or the the (Filename).trec file
depending on which version you are using.
Those files contain your edits.

Only the .tscproj contains your edits.  The .trec files are the recordings you create, but these files are never modified after they are created.  Camtasia does not modify any of the video or audio files it uses.  Camtasia only modifies the .tscproj, which describes which media files to use, in what order to use them, which parts of them to use, etc.
