HELP!!! Trailing Audio Echo in Camtasia 8

Camtasia 8 user here on Windows 10. Any advice or assistance appreciated!

I record my voice over with Audacity (on a Yeti mic) then export my clips as MP3's. From there I add them to my clip bin and put them into my timeline under my image / screen capture. I use the Audacity tool because it's the most professional for end user consumption.

Note I DO listen to my audio clips before importing them into Camtasia and don't hear the issue I am going to describe before they go into Camtasia. I can't share the output from Camtasia because the content is proprietary.

The audio example is that if I end a clip with the word fresh, I hear a trailing *shhhh* type echo. The clip in it's entirety does not echo, but there are portions that do something similar to what I just described and always at the end of the clip.

This is a new anomaly. I haven't changed my approach or setup but for whatever reason this just started.

Can anyone give any suggestions? Happy to share any other details needed for a possible diagnosis.
