Hi. Pretty new to camtasia. I have a bunch of mp4 files that were sent to me. I was told I could replace the screenshots with my own. Pretty basic question but how do I edit the stuff and not the audo. I suppose what I need a pointer to training on this part of the program. Thanks

Hi there

When you add the MP4 to your timeline, right-click and split the audio from the video. The rest will be just adding your own screen captures to their own track so they either overlay and cover up what the original MP4 has in it.

Cheers... Rick :)

Ah, so I am not replacing their stuff just painting over their paint. Thanks

An alternative is to add the replacement shots on a track above the existing MP4 -- that would be more like "painting over" the existing shots. The resulting output is the same either way.
