Can I mute SmartPlayer audio by default?

Hey Ben or anybody.

I'd like to know if there is a TSC.playerconfiguration code or If I am missing in the render settings a way to have a video start playback with the audio muted but a viewer could click the volume icon in the player controls to turn it back on.

I need to make small sidebar videos with captions that auto-play but have the audio muted when loaded.

I'm sure I could figure something out with a script or something but was hoping that there might be a TSC.playconfiguration code or a file hack I could make within the Smartplayer files.

That is an interesting question Dubie as I have not seen the option for doing that myself. Thanks for posting that question and hope they respond back with an answer and solution. Have a great day/night.

Hi Dubie,

You can add:
    TSC.mediaInterface.muted = true;
To the "[production-name]_player.html" file, right above the following line of JavaScript:
    TSC.mediaPlayer.init("#tscVideoContent");
Hope that helps!
