Have you gone through the "Sound" setup in Windows? If not, you should do so to insure that your microphone is properly configured. You can access it through the Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound/Manage Audio Devices (in Windows 7, not sure about 10). Go to the "Recording" tab and check whether your mic is functioning and configured properly.

Hi there;

This is often caused by outdated audio drivers, though pending the system it can also be caused by conflicting audio applications (Nahimic, Alienware Sound Center, etc.). Have you opened a technical support ticket regarding this issue?
