Hide cursor on new version of Camtasia v3.1.2

In older versions of Camtasia I could hide the mouse when creating a video. I updated the version to v3.1.2 and unable to find that functionality. Am I missing something?
The older version had the mouse icon up by the video and sound icons.

Put the playhead on the recording clip. Then in the upper right corner, click the mouse icon, then drop opacity to 0%.

Cheers... Rick :)

Thanks, Rick! Works when I complete the recordings from Camtasia. If I record using SnagIt and then import media I don't get that option.

Oh well. Adjustment I need to make. THANKS!

That's not surprising at all. In Camtasia, when you record you typically end up with an intermediate file that contains the mouse information. You then render that file out to create the final MP4. But it is my understanding that in SnagIt, the MP4 is created kind of "on the fly". So there would be no mouse information. The mouse is simply burned into the MP4 file created.

Sooo my question would be to ask why in the world you would want to avoid recording in Camtasia and choose to record in SnagIt?

And I suppose that's a rhetorical question.

Cheers... Rick :)
