When I'm adding call-outs to a scene, it's impossible for me to predict the track to which the new call-out is going to be added.

Camtasia Studio should get a notion of a "currently active" track which is supposed to be highlighted in the timeline.

The currently active track, supposed to catch new call-outs, should be selectable by clicking the corresponding track header.

this concept is a good idea; I would find it most helpfull for adding captions, which I prefer to be on a single track

my workaround now is to create a new track which should catch all new [callouts], then select all [callout] objects on track, and then move them down at once

multi select also works

perhaps selecting and grouping the new callouts would also work?
