Is it possible to create a link that opens a software with the Hotspot function? Or does this only work for web pages and e-mails? I would like the link to take my viewers into a spesific post in our e-learning program. The link works when sendt by e-mail, but does not work when used in Hotspot.

it will depend on the format of the link per se; can you post an example link so we can see what might be the issue?

hotspots require a valid URL; so no relative URLs, no emails, etc

also, maybe a security or firewall thing?

have you tried linking a test callout to a post on this forum; that should work

Hi, and thanks for your reply!

I've tried a link to this post, it works just fine. I wasn't aware that the "mailto:" did no longer work. It did so a couple of years ago. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2psMvIzdsvk)

The link i wanted to use is directly to our e-learning program Pinnacle Series, and you have to have the program installed for the link to work when it's sent by e-mail or embedded in an document etc. (pinnacle://PS_VidTutorial:6988f587-35f1-4531-9fe7-6d604332943d/)

Looks like I won't be able to make this work.

just curious, but when you say "installed" do you mean installed on your local PC?
