Hotspot pause working intermittently on Camtasia 9.1.2

Hi,

I'm trying to create a video with simple branching scenarios. I've attached a screenshot of my sample project, built using Camtasia 9.1.2 on Windows 10 Pro. I am publishing and viewing everything with the SmartPlayer on my computer.

The resulting video does not predictably "Pause at End", despite the hotspot checkbox being selected. Sometimes the video will play past the hotspot. Sometimes the video will pause, as expected. Sometime the video will pause at first go, but if the branching scenario repeats a segment, the video will not pause the second time the hotspot is encountered.

I have three concurrent hotspots at each juncture. I've tried selecting "Pause at End" on one of the three concurrent hotspots or all of the three. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong.

I'm using markers to navigate the scenarios. I am publishing without a Table of Contents.

Any help would be appreciated

David

your hotspots look too short in duration

I have Camtasia 9 projects with over 75 co-located hotspots, all set to stop at end; they all work as expected; all are 2 sec in duration

I have found that hotspots are most reliable when productions are made with key frames at 1 sec

I suggest you try modifying your project to use 2 sec duration hotspots; I've had shorter duration hotspots work, but have found that 2 second ones work very reliably

also, if viewing locally using the SmartPlayer, delete your browser history and empty the cache often; I found that hotspots can often go nuts if you do back-to-back local plays [I use Chrome]

Thank you. 2 second long hotspots worked perfectly.
