How can I hide the Camtasia program icon in my taskbar while recording?

open Camtasia Recorder from Start menu. don't run it from Camtasia.

One option would be to hide your Task bar. I like to do this so that the contents of the Task bar are not included in the screen capture.

Another option would be do use two screens and record the screen that doesn't have the task bar on it.

Hi there

Basically, from the recorder window, click Tools > Options. Then from the ensuing dialog, click the Program tab. Choose how the recorder minimizes. You likely need to choose the System Tray option.
