how can i increase or decrease my video/project length like 5 minutes to 6 , or 6 to 5

How you do this will depend on different factors. If all you have is a segment of video, you are able to right-click and adjust the speed. You could then just click the adjustment and drag until the video reaches the desired time. But if you use that approach, it will affect how the video plays back. If you make it longer, the video playback will be slower.
