We are trying to record a video of our screen using Snagit 12 on Windows 7 for a potential customer.  Is there a way to have video record higher than 1920x1080?  When I drag to select my entire screen, it seems to accept it until I start to record the video, when the selection box then shrinks down.  We don't want to have to lower the resolution of the monitor to record a video we want in a higher resolution.

Unfortunately, 1920 x 1080 is the maximum recording size obtainable using SnagIt 12. That's why it snaps down to a smaller size when you start recording.

I find it baffling that a higher resolution capture is still not available with this program.  Looking through the message boards, it seems this has been a requested feature for easily a year now, with no updates.  We are really starting to regret this purchase since we bought it for multiple computers.

Hi SCImon - we're planning to enable video capture of an area larger than 1080p on Windows machines in a future release. We're still some months out from shipping but wanted to give you a head's up that it's in the works.
