How can I stop Snagit on Mac from crashing every 2 or 3 video captures?

Snagit crashes consistently at the end of a capture so you don't know until after you have done your work if the software has failed again, which it does every 2 - 3 times.

I am using MacOS X 10.15.4 on a MacBook Air (2019) with 16GB of RAM.

What do I need to configure in Snagit for it to work reliably?

Hi Jonathan,

So sorry about this! I would open up a ticket with our Tech Support team.

I have had situations like this (weird stability problems) on three occasions over the last few years, although not in the current version. I've contacted tech support and they've been eager to help, but were unable to pinpoint the problem. What *did* work on both occasions was simply to empty out the folder where the app stores the screen captures (by just moving the *snag.proj files somewhere else and restarting the application). There must have been some corrupted file in there, because the problem went away. You can add files back if you want, but in my case I just deleted them, since I don't tend to need to hold on to captures in that form. Worth a try anyway?

Thank you @aspooner that helped. Interestingly it works without crashing for about 10 go's then starts crashing again and I have to wipe that file again. Rinse/repeat. But this is a work around I can live with.
