Hello,
I am kind of new to Camtasia and I want to edit something on my video.
I want to make a shaking effect + zoom in and out at the same clip
I know that I can make the shaking effect with animations but when I want to put a zoom on the same clip then it say it doesn't fit.
Is there any way so you can put them both togheter on the same clip? Because it seems you cant put them on top of eachother.

Thank you

It sounds like you have figured out that you can get a "shaking" effect with a series of short position animations. And it's true that Camtasia does not have a pre-made camera shake animation of effect.

If you'd like your clip to zoom in while shaking, you should avoid the Zoom-n-Pan tab, and work with custom animations from the Visual Properties tab only. (The hotkey for adding a custom animation is the Z key, if that helps.) When you add an animation to shake the clip, also increase scale of the clip a little bit, so that it both shakes and zooms in at the same time.

This will be a fairly work-intensive process, but should give you what you want. Unfortunately, doing this multiple times in a longer video will take a while. Maybe someone else in the community has a better solution.

Hmm I will try this out, I really like camtasia but it isn't so usefull if you want to put hard effects, there aren't so many options.

Just out of curiosity, what other types of effects would help you make the videos you want to make? We're always considering adding new functionality where it will help users.
