How Di I Quit Camtasia

My camtaisa won't shut down.   Have used it for several years and on the file pull down menu it is not dark black  it is light gray.   Have closed everything.

Assuming you are on the Mac, use the “Camtasia” menu and Quit (or CMD+Q).

If that’s still a problem, go to the Apple menu and choose the “Force Quit” option.

Yes, I did both.   When I tried to force shut down, the cookie popped up and said Camtasia was stopping it and said to quit Camtasia.   Finally, I held down the power button and the computer quit.   Left off hours, and now all is well.   Have made tons of videos.  Strange.

My Mac is quite stable, works fine for 3-4 weeks, then gets a little confused and needs a quick shutdown. Once the screen goes dark, you can restart right away, no need to wait. Compared to the past when a restart was required 2-3 times per day, I'm pretty happy.
