Hi all! I have finished my first Camtasia video. It is 26 minutes with 5 sections but I just found out I need to divide it into 5 different videos. How do I do that?

One way; you can just slide the green start and red end markers along the timeline so that they contain the part of the project that you want to create as a single output file. You can then go to Share (menu) -> Produce Selection As. If this is going to be a one-off and you want to preserve the original project, this is probably the easiest solution.

(Though even then I would probably recommend selecting all of the tracks at each point where you want to separate the video, and typing S to split them so that you clearly remember where the splits occurred.)

As an alternative you can also just right click on each the area selected and select "Add to Library", which will allow you to import that selection into a new (or in your case 5 new) projects if you want to via the Media group's Library tab.

You can utilize markers to produce your video into multiple videos at one time.

You can do a couple of things here.

1. If you want to save your video (split up into multiple videos) to come back to for later editing, then "Split" it where you want each separate video to start and save it as a .tscproj You don't have to do this but it will save you having to find the start of each separate video again.

With that done add a "Marker" at the start of each separate video or where you want each separate video to start and give each marker a name if you want to.

Do a "Custom Production"

In the options under the Controller tab, uncheck "Produce with controller" if you want just a mp4 video without the smart player

Under the Video settings tab,  check "Multiple files based on markers".

When produced Camtasia will produce your video as separate videos (in their own folders)
by your markers.
