how do i control arrow the selection in Snag it like i do in paint and not create white space but use the existing colors?

If i CTRL click on the selected area and then use arrows it copies the same colors in paint but in snagit now it creates white space. can this be changed?

What SnagIt does depends on the tool you have selected at any given moment. I'm not sure you have adequately describe exactly what it is that you are trying to do.

if i make a selection in paint and ctrl arrow it takes what im moving but uses the same colors as what was there so the creation of a larger mock up is easy. right now in snag it when i drag it it leaves behind white space.

Click the selection tool then look for this option top right

LOL, having worked in a technical support call center for too many years to easily remember, I'm usually pretty good at deciphering these things.

For the life of me I was not understanding this one. Glad you nailed it!
