Hi!

I have a video on my website (NOT on YouTube)  and I want to add a link (i.e., a URL) to a newsletter subscription page on my website,  Most likely, the video will be played with Windows Media Player.

How do I do it?

Thank you!

use a stop-at-end, go-to-URL hotspot in your project, with the URL pointing to your subscription page on your web site

produce your project to MP4 with smartplayer; upload ALL the produced files to a folder on your web site; launch the video using a URL that targets one of the 2 HTML files that are produced

this will cause the video to play in a browser where the hotspot will be enabled by the smartplayer

Dear Kayakman,

Thank you for your reply!

So the SmartPlayer is stored on my website, not the users?

correct

when you do a production to MP4 with smartplayer, you will get am MP4 video file PLUS a number of supporting files, including configxml, css, and smartplayer itself [techsmith-smart-player.min.js]; the smartplayer reads the configxml files and uses that info to enable interactive content like TOC, hotspots, captions, and quizzes

code within the 2 html files that are part of the file set will engage the smartplayer as part of the video play process
