Hi there;

Are you running Snagit on Windows or on Mac? If you open the Snagit capture interface, does it show "Panoramic" as the capture type? See:

If it is, change that option back to 'Region'

Mine is set to region, but, when I capture it's still in panoramic scrolling mode.  Very frustrating waste of time.

Can you provide more detail? For example, how are you starting the capture? Are you using the main SnagIt capture interface with the large red button on the right side? Or are you using a preset with perhaps a hotkey associated with it?

I am using the large red capture button.  Also, this is a webpage that I wanted to capture in scrolling mode.  The browser was Chrome, when I switched over to Safari I got normal scrolling not panoramic.

Well, it sounds like you've discovered the heart of the issue.  The "Chrome Browser" .

So, Chrome may return to normal after an update.
And/Or you should be opening a ticket with tech support so they can look into this.I'm thinking a Chrome update is the likely cure. Not a TechSmith issue.
