How do I upload a PowerPoint deck with animations into Camtasia?

I watched this video (provided by TechSmith tutorials) https://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-camtasia-import-powerpoint-slides.html in order to understand how to take my powerpoint slides and put them into Camtasia. However, when I select "Import Media", my PowerPoint slides do NOT show up in the folder because they do not match any of the file types. I don't understand! In the video it looks like they are using the saved PPT presentation saved in the traditional .pptx format, but it doesn't work for me! What am I doing wrong? How do I have to save the PowerPoint so that I can see all of my slides individually, just like in the video?

Hi Samantha, what version are you using? This feature is available in 9.1.1.

I notice your PowerPoint deck has animations so if you wish to make a video with the PowerPoint animations you would be better using the Add-in tool you find in PowerPoint, or you could play the slideshow and record the screen using the Camtasia Recorder. One of the benefits of using the Add-in tool is that the content is searchable and markers are automatically created so you can make a Table of contents if required.

The method you mention above creates an image of the slide so it will not include the PowerPoint animations in the video.

I trust this helps,
